Project overview

The Kolkata East-West Corridor Project is a 15km Metro Line going under a branch of the Ganges River. The East-West Metro will run from Salt Lake Sector 5 (in the East) to Howrah Maidan (in the West) connecting the two main railway stations of Kolkata. Amongst the 15km, 9 are underground and 6 are elevated (Viaduct). 12 stations and 1 depot are also part of the project.

Our missions

Egis to provide technical assistance to the client Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation Ltd  during Pre-Qualification (PQ) phase, Bidding phase and Construction phase up to the Commissioning (KMRCL) for the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of:

  • Rolling Stock (RS)
  • Power Supply (PS)
  • Control and Signaling, Telecom and Low Current (S&T) System
  • Track Works (TW)
  • Auto-Fare Collection (AFC) system
  • Depot Special Machines / Equipment (DSM)
